Suraj S: Overcoming Hearing Impairment with Sarthak’s Support

This is the story of Suraj, who currently lives in Kerala. Suraj has a hearing loss disability that was detected when he was very young. His family consists of his father, mother, and an elder sister who is already married.

During his schooling, Suraj faced many issues in expressing himself both in the classroom and while playing with friends. He often received unnecessary sympathy from relatives and others, which constantly reminded him of his disability.

After completing graduation, Suraj started searching for a job to support his parents. However, he was repeatedly rejected in interviews, which caused him to lose confidence in himself. With each rejection, he began to feel hopeless and believed he would not be able to achieve anything in life. The pandemic worsened his struggles, leaving him helpless and demoralized.

A turning point came when he came to know about Sarthak Educational Trust through a mobilizer. Interested in the training program, Suraj registered and submitted his documents. Over the course of three months, he learned valuable skills that boosted his self-confidence and improved his communication. He shared that the training taught him to approach every challenge in life with a positive mindset.

After completing his training, Suraj secured a job at Coffee Café Day with an in-hand salary of ₹10,500 along with perks and employee benefits. Today, he is happy, confident, and grateful for how Sarthak’s support transformed his life.
